Dr Mitchell has been with the practice since 1993 and became a full partner in the Practice in October 2010. Her interests include dermatology, respiratory medicine, women’s health, and hypertension.

Dr Kennedy joined as a full time partner on 1st April 2011. He worked as a full time principal GP, in an urban practice in Inverness for 12 years. His interest is in family medicine but also includes cardiovascular, elderly medicine, paediatrics, minor surgery and prescribing.

Dr Jennifer Kennedy works part time (2 sessions a week) in the practice. She has a special interest in undergraduate medical education and is Convener for years 1 to 3 at the School of Medicine at Dundee University.

Dr Barclay works as a Locum with the Practice covering a regular Tuesday afternoon clinic in Balmullo, Wednesday morning clinic at our Leuchars site, and Wednesday afternoons in Balmullo. Previously a full time Partner in General Practice, she also has previous hospital experience in Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care ad Psychiatry.

Dr Muqit works 2 sessions a week at the practice, Monday morning at Leuchars and Monday afternoon at Balmullo. Following training in hospital medicine and general practice in London, she relocated to Scotland in 2008. She has a particular interest in medical education and is one of the Year 1 Generalist Clinical Mentors (GCM) on the Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine (ScotGEM) programme. For this, she holds a joint appointment with the University of St Andrews Medical School. She teaches medical students at the practice on Thursdays.
we undertake medical and nursing student training and so we regularly host doctors/nurses in training who work alongside the staff to gain invaluable experience.
Angie is a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner: a registered nurse who has done extra training and academic qualifications to be able to examine, assess, make diagnosis, treat, prescribe and make referrals for patients.
Also, as part of our Nursing team she is our Diabetes Specialist Nurse and should be your first contact for any Diabetes queries you may have.
Diane is our Practice Nurse with many years of experience.
Along with normal duties, Diane is our Respiratory Specialist for Asthma and COPD.
Both our Practice nurses provide a range of services including chronic disease management, dressings and blood tests. They work closely with the doctors in running various clinics and health promotion activities.
Provides a clinic on a Tuesday afternoon at Balmullo for routine blood tests, Blood Pressure testing, and new patient medicals.

A midwife is available every 2nd Friday morning, at Balmullo.
The team is based at Balmullo and is available to provide nursing care at home. If you need a District Nurse, please telephone 01334 870788 or leave a message at the Surgery.
