Dr Mitchell has been with the practice since 1993 and became a full partner in the Practice in October 2010. Her interests include dermatology, respiratory medicine, women’s health, and hypertension.

Dr Kennedy joined as a full time partner on 1st April 2011. He worked as a full time principal GP, in an urban practice in Inverness for 12 years. His interest is in family medicine but also includes cardiovascular, elderly medicine, paediatrics, minor surgery and prescribing.

Dr Jennifer Kennedy works part time (2 sessions a week) in the practice. She has a special interest in undergraduate medical education and is Convener for years 1 to 3 at the School of Medicine at Dundee University.
we undertake medical and nursing student training and so we regularly host doctors/nurses in training who work alongside the staff to gain invaluable experience.
Dr Barclay- MBChB (Edinburgh University 1983), MRCGP, DRCOG, DGM
Dr Barclay works as a Locum with the Practice covering a regular Tuesday afternoon clinic in Balmullo and a Wednesday morning clinic at our Leuchars site. Previously a full time Partner in General Practice, she also has previous hospital experience in Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care ad Psychiatry.
Dr Scully joined us in March 2018 and is with us on a Monday; a morning clinic in Leuchars and an afternoon clinic at Balmullo.
Dr Thakera is our Registrar and will be with us for 12 month from August 2019.
She is a qualified Doctor undertaking her General Practice Specialty Training.
Some of you may have already met Dr Thakera when she was with the Practice for 6 months a year or so ago.
Angie works with our Nursing Team dealing with routine Nursing issues. In addition she is our Diabetes Specialist Nurse and should be your first contact for any Diabetes queries you may have.
More recently Angie has gained additional qualifications and is now an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. This means she is able to assist, with the support of GP's when required, with many of your medical conditions and is able to prescribe any required medication.
Along with dealing with all Nurse related issues, Diane is our Respiratory Nurse Specialist and can be contacted to discuss issues you may have with Asthma, COPD and any other respiratory conditions you may have.
Both our Practice nurses provide a range of services including chronic disease management, dressings and blood tests. They work closely with the doctors in running various clinics and health promotion activities.
Provides a clinic on a Tuesday afternoon at Balmullo for routine blood tests, Blood Pressure testing, ear syringing, ECG’s. and new patient medicals.

Our receptionists are here to help you with appointments, prescriptions, repeats and other queries during opening hours.
Leigh and her Pharmacy Team support the practice dealing with all issues pertaining to prescriptions. The Pharmacy team are also involved in the annual patient medication reviews.
We have a member of the pharmacy team in Practice at the following times:

Please ask to speak to Leigh or any member of the Pharmacy team if you have a query about your repeat prescriptions or medication.
A midwife is available every 2nd Friday morning, at Balmullo.
The team is based at Balmullo and is available to provide nursing care at home. If you need a District Nurse, please telephone 01334 870788 or leave a message at the Surgery.
