Family Planning
We provide a range of family planning services, including implants. Please ask at reception for an appointment (which will be subject to availability at the time, given current pressures and demands on the Practice).
Coil Fitting
We do not currently carry perform this service in Practice.
Patients interested in this service are directed to complete the form for the Coil Hub in St Andrews where a member of their team will be in touch to arrange an initial telephone appointment.

Health checks
A general health check are available as follows:
NHS Health check
- aged 40-74 (no other conditions, every 5 years)
- Well Woman
- Well Man
- aged 75 and over (who has not seen a GP in the last year)
General checks will be carried out as follows:
Blood pressure, blood tests (as appropriate), Height and Weight, Lifestyle advice, Tetanus status.
Minor Surgery
By appointment only with GP and Practice Nurse (Balmullo only).
Smear Tests
By appointment only with Practice Nurse or GP.
Hospital at Home
This service enables suitable patients to receive treatments normally provided by general medical wards within the comfort of their own home supported by a nursing team. Your GP will be happy to discuss this with you should you require hospital type medical services.
CTAC
The Fife Community Treatment and Care nurses carry out a range of procedures such as removal of stitches, B12 vaccinations, ear syringing dressings.

Ante-Natal Care
If you are newly pregnant and require antenatal care please book directly with the midwife on 01334 465848 or via this link.
Post-Natal Care
We offer postnatal appointments and new baby checks at 8 weeks post partum, by appointment only. Please arrange with the practice directly.

- Monday morning in Leuchars.
- Tuesday morning in Balmullo.
- Wednesday morning in Leuchars.
- Thursday morning in Balmullo.
- Friday morning in Leuchars and Balmullo.
Listening Service
The Listening Service provides a confidential and non-judgemental support service for people who need it. Whatever you are going through, whether it’s big or small, don’t bottle it up!
Maybe you feel anxious, stressed out or depressed. Perhaps you are a Carer needing time for yourself. Maybe you’ve suffered bereavement or have been struggling with your relationships.
This service will provide a Listening Ear!
If you are worried about something, feel upset or confused, or just want to talk, ask your GP about the Listening Service. Sessions available on a Tuesday morning, in Leuchars, by appointment only.
Chronic Disease Management
We like to follow up all those with chronic conditions, or on repeat medication, in a structured way. We recommend that patients are reviewed annually, in their birthday month for their major check-up and in-between depending on the condition. The conditions we monitor closely include:
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
- Asthma
- COPD
- Stroke
- Hypothyroid
- Hypertension
- Ischaemic Heart Disease
- Severe Mental Illness
If you are not contacted in your birthday month and you feel you should be, please request an annual review via eConsult.
Physiotherapist
Appointments arranged by Physiotherapy Department based in St Andrews Community Hospital.
Immunisations
Carried out by the NHS Fife Immunisation Service. They can be contacted on 01383 565456, or email Fife.immunisationqueries@nhs.scot.
Speech Development
